Friends: Chapter 1

It was a bitterly cold night in Ponyville, raining harder than usual. Trixie look down at the ground as she stalked through the mud. Her hoofs were coated with mud that looked like dark chocolate. She had no idea where she was going, but she ended up right in front of Twilight Sparkle's house. What am I doing..? she wondered.
Twilight and Trixie were definitely not friends. They were enemies, nothing more, nothing less. That's how it always would be. Atleast, that's what everyone, including them, thought.
Trixe knocked on the door, hoping Spike would answer instead. Twilight opened the door after a few minutes, she obviously had been disturbed while sleeping. "How could someone be up at such a late hour?" She complained, rubbing her eyes. She opened them and they soon turned into a cold glare. Twilight began to shut the door but then Trixie opened her mouth to protest. "Wait!" Twilight considered this a moment, but soon shut the door. Trixie began pounding on the door with her hoofs. "Twilight, wait! Please! I need to talk to you!" she howled. Her howling began to break into a whimper. "Please.." she whispered. Twilight hesitated, but then opened the door. "Alright..what do you want, Trixie?" Trixie didn't know why, or how, even, she was here. She didn't know what to say, either. "I don't know.." she began. "Could I come in?" she didn't realize how cold she was. Twilight didn't know what to say. Should she trust her enemy? The one and only pony she'd hated for years and years?
